Nem Laboratories (P) Ltd or ‘Nemlabs’ is the flagship company of the Nem group. We specialize in Pharmaceutical finished dosage forms (FDF/FPP) for more than 35 years. The company’s motto is to develop, manufacture and market all its products based on the principle of “Health First.” Our commitment to this principle has resulted in strong recognition and trust in our brand among customers across 36 countries. Our company manufactures FDFs of Tablets, sterile and non-sterile Semi-solids (Creams, Ointment and gels) and small volume injectables. We have a dedicated DSIR (dept. of scientific and Ind. Research-Govt. of India) recognized R&D center that is central to our product development and continuous improvement.
We are an ever-advancing organization and deploy some of the most advanced technologies and intelligent automation available in the industry. This allows us to further our mission to continually upgrade our product lines and bring authentic generics and advanced therapies to markets with the best cost efficiency.

Our History
The Nem Group of Companies is a privately owned business conglomerate. It is a Pharmaceutical company that started with formulations under Nymph Laboratories and distribution under Nath & Company. NemLabs was started in the early 1980s by the Late Mr. Ajay Talati for manufacturing pharmaceutical formulations. He was a Technocrat and with a Bachelor's Degree in Science and a rich experience spanning 35 years in the pharma industry. To bring his vision of establishing a world class pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in India, Mr. Talati set up the factory in Vasai, an area that enjoys excellent connectivity with the rest of the country. In the early 1990s, the company added printing board and art division viz. Neel Arts and aluminium foils division to their portfolio. Today NemLabs stands out with its 'Health First' philosophy and is a well known name around the world for high quality pharmaceuticals.

1985 -
Commercial Operations Begin
The company commenced commercial manufacturing operations, marking the beginning of its journey in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
1989 -
Entering Global Markets
Nem Laboratories achieved its first export milestone, taking its products beyond domestic borders and beginning its international presence.
1991 -
Building A Strong Foundation
Over the next decade, the company focused on expanding its product portfolio, investing in backward integration through packaging and material supply capabilities, strengthening manufacturing infrastructure, and significantly broadening its customer base.
1991–2001 -
Raising Global Standards
The company undertook extensive upgrades to comply with international GMP standards. Our group companies also established several successful turnkey pharmaceutical manufacturing projects across Africa while obtaining GMP approvals in multiple export markets in its parent facility.
2001–2008 -
Remembering Our Founder
The company mourned the loss of its beloved founder, whose vision and leadership laid the foundation for decades of growth and excellence.
2009 -
A New Chapter
Under new leadership, Nem Laboratories successfully consolidated its operations, ensuring continuity while preparing the organization for its next phase of growth. This is also the period when we received our 'star export house' recognition.
2009–2010 -
WHO-GMP Milestone
One of the early successes of the new management, the company achieved the prestigious WHO-GMP certification, reaffirming its commitment to world-class manufacturing quality and regulatory compliance.
2010 -
Evolve And Reach Higher
We invested in regulatory systems, RnD and market expansion. We added more markets in Africa, the ASEAN region firstly with Sri Lanka and the CIS market with Turkmenistan. The company also took its first steps towards PIC/S.
2011–2015 -
The GENNEXT Program
The company made significant investments in advanced manufacturing technologies and upgraded its facilities for complex generics. During this period our RnD was certified by the prestigious DSIR-GOI and under this banner we started our GENNEXT Program, enabling the development and manufacture of increasingly complex generic medicines.
2016–2020 -
Resilience During The Pandemic
Despite the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19, we remained fully operational, ensuring uninterrupted supply while earning increased recognition across Latin America, Africa, and the CIS region for our reliability and commitment.
2020–2022 -
Driving Innovation For Continued Success
During this period the company started commercialising its first complex generic products. Simultaneously, existing formulations were enhanced to deliver improved to match increasing regulatory expectations of efficacy, safety, and quality for patients worldwide. The company continued to strengthen its R&D capabilities, transitioning from mature products toward modern and niche therapeutic segments.
